Voice Of Reasonable Morality
2nd June 2005 - Found out that FTP had been disabled here a few days ago. Got my SFTP account sorted out today. To celebrate, I've got this. It's about superheroes, mostly. It also has some pictures. It's just about the only halfway worthwhile product of two years of history lessons.
This website is a repository for the various articles I've written over the past few years. They vary heavily in style and quality, partly because my writing skill has improved since I did the first of these, partly because my ideas have gotten worse.
As I write new content, it'll be put up here, but I'm erratic and lazy and never write down my best ideas, so don't count on too many updates. I'm just as likely to make revisions which is unfortunate since they're mostly just cosmetic. If I end up writing absolutely nothing for ages, I might put up an unfinished abandoned article so as to claim I've been doing something if not worthwhile then constructively worthless.
Updates, new articles and the like will find their way onto the news section after I remove them from the front page.
Whilst you wait for new updates, you might want to check the links page.
Articles have been divided into four different sections:
Shorter Ramblings are articles of around 500 words which were sparked by one idea, powered by it for about a third of a page then hurriedly finished off.
Longer Ramblings are somewhat less common and tend to be much like the shorter ramblings, but I had two passable ideas rather than one.
Televisual Monstrosities are my suggestions for how to improve the quality of TV we get. If you want to know why I probably shouldn't be allowed out without armed guards watching my every moment, these pieces are most likely the best place to look.
Making the World a Better Place is the section where I forget all my petty hates and violent neuroses and concentrate on how to make my fellow humans get more out of civilisation. By catapulting dead horses and plague victims into supermarkets with a trebuchet, for example.
In All Honesty is the section where I try to prove that you aren't just reading because I do a good impersonation of Joseph Mengele's most faithful disciple. A vain hope, yes.

More likely, they're a viewpoint which makes a tiny degree of amoral sense but which I found vaguely amusing for 5 minutes. This site not recommended for those who have undergone irony bypasses. Obviously if you don't want to, I can't take formal sanctions against you, but if you find yourself wanted dead or alive by the Jewish Defence League, Black Panthers, Aryan Nations, a few dozen illiterate Bolivian brigands and the Chipping Norton Ornothological Society, don't come crying to me.
